Back from my little break!

For the last three weeks, school had become a little overwhelming to say the least. Many SACs on top of all the other stresses in life had become all too much and I decided I needed to stop and take a break from a few things.

One of those things was obviously blogging. It was becoming too difficult to keep posting every week in between studying. And trying to come up with the inspiration felt like more of a job than something I enjoyed. Blogging for me is not a job. It should be something I enjoy doing as a hobby. So that’s why I decided that it was probably best not to force it.

I was also rather exhausted during this period and am still recovering from the rough patch I’m currently going through. But thankfully I am now on holiday which will give me a chance to recuperate and build myself back up again. In saying that, I will remind myself this time round that blogging every week will no longer be an obligation.

I know at the start of the year my resolution was to blog weekly and consistently however I think when things become difficult in life, changing the way we operate is necessary. So… my new resolution now is blog when I can. It might not mean I post weekly, but it will still mean when I do post, it will be content that I’ll be proud of.

I still have a long way to go in the way of not putting so much pressure on myself and taking care of myself. But I figured it’s a lesson worth sharing with you all today. It’s okay to take a break… even from the things that we love doing. And it’s okay to loosen the reins on routine or say no to certain offers in order to take care of yourself.

That’s all from me today, I hope you had a Happy Easter!

Have a lovely day! xx
